Job Description

Product Distribution Center Operations (50%)

• Design and execute automation projects that create efficiency and drive operating savings. This effort includes warehouse automation projects that may drive waste reduction, equipment reliability, or overall operational efficiency with the warehouse environment.
• Develops new project initiatives with regard to automation/controls.
• Develops and manages automation specifications/standards and SOPs and system documentation programs.
• Keeps close contact with the Global IT organization in order to Prevent operational issues due to system integration issues.
  • Detect system related issues early
  • Help to resolve detected issues, in order to prevent or mitigate process disruptions
• Directs and collaborates with cross functional teams of colleagues and outside resources including vendors and consultants in investigations when product-related equipment and system abnormalities occur
• Coordinates across multiple sites, software updates, equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, calibration and repair for process and automation/controls systems.
• Coordinates maintenance and engineering activities with onsite 3PL maintenance personnel, manufacturing and logistics managers to ensure maintenance of equipment necessary to support seamless process execution product manufacturing, packaging and testing, as needed.
• Provides timely and accurate reports to communicate departmental activities, project status and events that have an impact on manufacturing operations.

• Develops and maintains Process Automation master plans in close cooperation with the Product Distribution Management team, continuously drive innovation and improvement for automation strategy and process flow.
• Advocates and promotes automation and technology advantages within the organization.
• Manages strategy goals and objectives where assigned.
• Collaborates with PDC managers for a cohesive automation/controls process that aligns with operational metrics.
• Ensures that Process Automation systems and equipment are maintained in accordance with all corporate standards.

• Keeps informed of current and new industry best practices and strategies in Warehouse automation/controls.
• Multiflier and supports 3PL site management to develop and train site personnel in automation/controls usage and best practices.
• Develops and manages appropriate automation/controls SOPs and system documentation programs.
