In this key role based in Singapore, you will report to the Regional Supply Chain Lead within the Southeast Asia organization and will be a member of the Singapore and Malaysia leadership teams. You will maintain, and improve Amgen’s supply capability in Singapore and Malaysia while ensuring Amgen’s products are delivered to customers/patients in good quality, on time, in full, and with cost effectiveness. Responsibilities:

  • Supply/Demand Planning
    • Facilitate country level S&OP /IBP meetings.
    • Engage Commercial Product Managers, Finance, and distributors to ensure volume demand forecasting to appropriate forecast accuracy levels
    • Responsible for demand planning process. Submit demand forecast to Regional/Global Planning.
    • Collect/verify replenishment orders from the country and submit to supply site.
    • Manage the safety stock level at country LSP (Logistics Service Provider), to ensure continuous supply with optimized cost.
  • Launch and Lifecycle Management
    • Develop country implementation plan of product launches and lifecycle changes together with internal (Regional/Country Operations Lead, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Marketing) and external (Distributor or LSP) parties. Ensure supply plan is aligned with the variation changes. Risks are identified, communicated, and mitigated properly.
  • Logistics
    • Coordinate shipments to the country with the supply site, the forwarder, and the distributor/LSP.
    • Oversee the logistic process (receiving, storage, outbound shipments, etc.) of the country distributor/LSP.
    • Oversee the in-country distribution to ensure Amgen products are handled according to quality and cold chain requirements and in compliance to GDP.
    • Build in-country cold chain distribution capability if required. Conduct LSP/distributor training related to distribution procedures if required.
    • Coordinate the in-country planning and logistics requirements for launch of new commercial products.
    • Manage the logistics cost and proactively seek efficiencies.
    • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external customers.
    • Ensure country Import/Export requirements are met to ensure trade compliance (e.g., License per Import, Reporting requirements, etc.).
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Optimize processes and procedures to allow flawless execution of supply chain activities.
    • Develop and maintain Standard Operation Procedures or other form of work instructions.
    • Own NC/CAPA and oversee Corrective/Preventative action.
  • KPI/Reporting
    • Manage monthly update and reporting of country-level planning and logistics KPIs to the region
  • Other activities as required
    • Some travel
    • Some out-of-hours teleconferences

  • Bachelor Degree in Business, Supply Chain Qualification, MBA or similar
  • 5-7+ years functional supply chain experience, preferred with major pharmaceutical companies
  • Fluent in English, in both speaking and writing; Chinese/Malay fluency would be beneficial
