Our Client is a global leader in developing technologies and providing best solutions and services for DPO supply chain industrial, commercial and residential sectors. With their ever-expanding global portfolio of comprehensive operational and consulting expertise, they aim to maintain and improve their current performance both locally and regionally of which they are seeking for a Supply Chain Manager (APAC) to be based at their HQ in Singapore.
You will be reporting to the Director of Supply Chain. The majority of your responsibilities will include leading and managing a team under Commodity and Project Procurement, working closely with the teams in Asia to support strategic operational initiatives and maximise the effectiveness of supply chain by constantly improving the performance of suppliers.
Your responsibilities include:
To meet global supply chain objectives by developing and implementing strategies
To align strategically within the supply chain in Asia Pacific and Globally
To support Operations team on their needs and objectives
To manage growth and risk within the supply chain by establishing commodity strategies
To meet expected performance objectives by evaluating, qualifying, and developing new suppliers
To complete negotiations of contract and quantifying benefits on time
To quantify the benefits of contract negotiations in a timely manner
Enhance Rest of Asia by improving DPO and cost containment
Coordinate e-sourcing events, identify implementations, and track their progress
Develop and implement lean methodologies to meet supplier performance objectives: lead time and on-time delivery
To improve manufacturing processes, inventory, and capacity planning by developing supplier plans and goals, ensuring cost, delivery, and lead-time improvements
To develop and implement new product development and localisation initiatives for Plant Operations in Asia
Provide support and implementation for Plant Operations in Asia for the development and localisation of new products
Participating in the implementation of strategies for key commodities in collaboration with the Final Control team
Values and policies of the company's Supply Chain are adhered to
To ensure that suppliers, trade associations, and market trends are well informed of global industrial activity
The Successful Applicant
You should have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines with significant years of experience in supply chain/procurement. You should have strong understanding of direct material use. Cost control and negotiations. It is essential that you can demonstrate your ability to solve problems and explore opportunities for constant improvement. You must possess strong analytical, planning and interpersonal skills; with the ability to work efficiently and proactively. You should have experience in machining commodities.
