Job Description

We are seeking an experienced

Sushi Chef

to join our Japanese restaurant team. You will be responsible for preparing authentic sushi and sashimi, maintaining ingredient freshness, and ensuring high standards of presentation and food safety. You will also support menu planning, kitchen hygiene, and training of junior staff.





Responsibilities:



Prepare and present sushi, sashimi, and related Japanese dishes with precision and quality. Maintain freshness and quality of seafood and ingredients. Assist in inventory control, ordering, and stock rotation. Ensure food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in the kitchen. Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain smooth operations during service.

Requirements:



Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sushi Chef in a Japanese restaurant. Strong knife and seafood preparation skills. Good understanding of Japanese culinary traditions and presentation. Positive attitude, teamwork, and attention to detail. * Able to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
