Our client is a well-funded venture capital firm with core investments focused in the disruptive technology and Web 3.0 space. They have a growing presence in the emerging technology field and are poised for exponential growth by means of seed investments and through the building of “organic start-ups” within their own firm. A coveted position has now opened in the team for a Venture Talent Acquisition Partner to join them in scaling internal operations and attracting bright, like-minded talents into the firm.
Responsibilities
This is a rare and exciting opportunity for a well-rounded Talent Acquisition professional to break into the venture capital / emerging technology scene. The nature of work here will further take you beyond the scope of a traditional recruitment role and away from filling mundane traditional corporate function positions. Instead, you will be mandated to help build “in-house start-ups” within the firm by attracting the likes of venture builders, start-up architects, and technologists to form an ecosystem involved in innovating breakthroughs in the Web3 environment. You will additionally receive equity for each “start-up” you help to co-create – further entrenching your role in these team you had a hand in building and augmenting. Lastly, as part of their growth strategies, you will also have the opportunity to move into a HR Generalist / Junior HRBP role in the short-mid term if that forms part of your aspirations.
Requirements
You should be degree-qualified with at least 4 years of full spectrum recruitment experience. This must include the complete gamut of recruitment activities from taking job briefs with hiring managers; talent sourcing via various methods of search; talent mapping; screening; interviewing; and offer negotiation. Prior experience working at a start-up is advantageous but not a requirement. It is however vitally important to showcase your ability to work through ambiguity and willingness to adapt to change.
