Job title - Technical and Application Manager, PCA APAC

Location - Singapore

As the Technical and Application Manager for our Personal Care and Aroma (PCA) APAC business, you will provide technical, formulation and innovation support and solutions to both our customers and internal teams with the objective of growing our business. You will work in close partnership with the regional marketing and sales team as well as with the global technical services team to achieve our business goals and ambitions.

Your mission

• Design and formulate prototype formulations in line with product focus, customer needs and regional market trends. Bring ideas to life, ideate with customers and then turn those ideas into workable prototypes and commercialization. Actively engage with the R&D and marketing teams of our customers in providing solutions from formulation challenges to new product ideation and innovation.
• Provide technical know-how, information, training and support to both our internal sales team as well as to our distributors. Work with sales and marketing teams to support customer needs, new product introduction, trade events, publications, and project management.
• Ensure implementation of launch plans provided by Regional Marketing Manager in line with Global Marketing incl. training of sales teams and distributors.
• Responsible for ARTs (Asia Pacific Regional Testing service), which are customized clinical test projects, with our extraordinary imaging technology to visualize the efficacy of customer launched products and bring visualization to our solutions into customer formulas
• To build, lead and supervise the PCA APAC Application Centre in Singapore
• Actively coordinate with Global R&D and Innovation teams and provide relevant regional needs/inputs to the product innovation pipeline.

You bring

• A degree / masters in Science or related field with a preferred background in Life Sciences
• A sound understanding in the properties and application of cosmetic ingredients/raw materials and their formulation in market relevant products
• 5 - 7 years of working experience in B2C business, Cosmetics or Cosmetics Ingredients industry
• Prior experience in formulation/application development of consumer products, particularly within the Polymers, Sun Filters and Skin Care segments
• Deep knowledge of state-of-the-art cosmetic ingredients, their properties and formulation technologies. Ability to translate this knowledge into marketing concepts and solutions for customers
• Strong customer centricity with excellent communication and relationship management skills
