22 June 2024We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to support the maintenance and business-as-usual (BAU) of systems within a large organization.Mandatory Skill(s)

• Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science;
• At least 2 years of experience in IT technical support or field services roles;
• Good knowledge of desktop hardware components, peripherals, and their configuration;
• Familiarity with software deployment tools and methodologies;
• Familiarity with testing procedures and equipment preparation;
• Ability to quickly analyze problems and take appropriate action to resolve issues;
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment;
• Strong time-management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with customers and internal teams;
• Valid class 3(A) license required.

Desirable Skill(s)

• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation and administration.

Responsibilities

• Part of the support team to facilitate first level (L1) trouble-shooting support onsite to diagnose issues and take necessary actions to resolve or escalate problems;
• Responsible to collect and deliver failure units from customer sites as per schedule and operational requirements;
• Maintain accurate records of assets and inventory, ensuring availability and readiness for customer deployments;
• Prepare equipment for customer milk runs by ensuring it is properly configured, tested, and meets operational standards;
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and compliance with corporate policies and procedures during all operational activities;
• Complete necessary documentation and reports related to equipment collection, troubleshooting activities, and inventory management.
