About the Unit

Region Africa and Asia produces, sells, distributes, and markets fertilizers and industrial products across Asia Pacific and Africa region with offices location and operational units in 19 countries in Australia, China, India, Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Myanmar, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Cameroon, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania and Zambia. We sell a broad range of quality products to all segments in agriculture, produce and sale ammonia and TAN from our Australian unit mainly to industrial customers, reaching a total volume of 6 million tons per year. The region employs 1600 employees across the 19 countries. Yara has a long history in the Asian Pacific and African markets, and our focus is to develop the Yara Crop Nutrition concepts to increase food production, create value to the growers and minimize the environmental impact of agriculture.

Responsibilities

To lead and drive the development of innovative digital products. Responsible for managing the entire product development lifecycle, from conceptualization to commercialization. Leadership and strategic vision will be instrumental in shaping product portfolio, ensuring its alignment with market demands, and achieving business objectives.

1. Product Strategy and Vision:

  • Develop and articulate a clear product development strategy in line with the company\'s overall vision and goals.
  • Use market research and analysis to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive opportunities.
  • Define the product roadmap and prioritize product initiatives based on business value and market potential.
2. Cross-Functional Leadership:
  • Lead a diverse team of product managers, designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective collaboration and seamless execution.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and excellence within the product development team.
3. Product Development Lifecycle Management:
  • Oversee the end-to-end product development process, from concept ideation to product launch and post-launch support.
  • Ensure products are developed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
4. Product Design and User Experience:
  • Collaborate with design teams to create intuitive and user-centric product designs.
  • Champion user experience (UX) research and usability testing to optimize product usability and satisfaction.
5. Technology and Engineering Management:
  • Work closely with engineering teams to assess technical feasibility, set development milestones, and manage technical risks.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the product development team.
6. Product Commercialization:
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies for new products.
  • Ensure effective product positioning, pricing, and marketing campaigns to drive successful product launches.
7. Product Performance and Optimization:
  • Monitor and analyze product performance metrics, customer feedback, and market trends.
  • Identify opportunities for product enhancements and optimizations to drive continuous improvement.
8. Stakeholder Communication:
  • Communicate product development progress, achievements, and challenges to executive leadership and other key stakeholders.
  • Act as a product evangelist, promoting the value and benefits of the product portfolio both internally and externally.
Profile
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or a related field.
  • 6 years of proven experience in product development and product management leadership roles.
  • Track record of successfully launching and scaling innovative products in the market.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking with a customer-centric approach.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
  • Deep understanding of product development methodologies and best practices.
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and results-oriented environment
