There is where you'll learn, do your best work, improve quickly, and have fun. In the VP of Sales role, you’d be responsible for building out and running our fledging direct sales team. You don’t need to be an expert in ecommerce, but you should care deeply about small businesses that are trying to succeed with the online economy. And you should have done this before - building and growing a sales team for a SaaS company at our current ARR levels. The work is challenging, fast paced, and always on the cutting edge. So, we’re looking for someone with a curious mind, a strong drive to make things happen, and a passion to keep improving yourself.
Requirements
What you will do:

  • Recruit & own the sales team and process, and create a department that hits our revenue goals
  • Help the sales team close deals: Working and closing key deals with them, spotting issues before they blow up, seeing opportunities ahead of the horizon.
  • Sales tactics: How to compete, pitch scripts, coordinating FUD and anti-FUD, segmenting customers. In sum -> Learning and understanding how to maximize the revenue per lead.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the OneCart platform to help potential customers understand our products and services.
  • Keep up with the latest product updates and features.
Experience required:
  • You've worked in SaaS sales in Southeast Asia, specifically Singapore.
  • You've hired and built a sales team in this region
  • You've sold smaller ticket SaaS to SMBs in this region
  • You're comfortable and excited to be responsible for stretch revenue goals
How you will need to be:
  • Highly curious in asking the right questions to get to the root cause of an issue.
  • Able to pick up concepts and technical information, fast.
  • Able to read and engage with people well.
  • Responsive to feedback and apply it immediately.
  • Able to pitch value and benefits with absolute conviction and clarity.
  • Able to multitask and switch between tools, effortlessly.
  • Be comfortable engaging customers over chat and phone.
  • Extremely perseverant
  • Comfortable in a small team and early-stage business
