Overview of the job:

You will have responsibility for running a high-profile multinational global brands with services scope focused on innovation, communications planning, and media campaign implementation management, by leveraging your insights, digital and strategy skill set.

There is frequent high level client contact, and you'll be the face of Wavemaker to the regional clients. You will lead the client relationship while also being responsible for maintaining the quality of contracted services, lobbying additional assignments as well as developing appetite for and building revenues from out-of-scope offerings and value add services. As well as driving top-level client scores you'll also be aligning market teams on the global tools, driving test/learn digital innovations and apply analytics in a consistent fashion to steer investment decisions.

As the Regional Business Director , you will be tasked with meeting KPIs, driving adaptive marketing initiatives, digital transformation and innovation, auditing current digital and tech maturity and offer recommendations on moving the needle, the allocation of resources, process, and systems, across the portfolio.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Entrenching senior client relationships that position Wavemaker as a principal business partner of the client/s. Be unafraid to push back, be audacious and stand your ground in terms of ideas.
  • Strong platform knowledge in Google Ads, Facebook, Programmatic DSPs, and analytics platforms like Google Analytics is required
  • Data and tech exposure on guiding clients around their data usage and strategy
  • Set viable objectives and KPIs, and recommend/develop measurement methodology against all briefs
  • Help guide and advise the wider team on best practices, innovation, and work processes
  • Champion the growth and development of Agency services beyond media planning and buying
  • Work with internal specialist resources and group resources
  • Managing and developing your direct reports
  • Talent acquisition and retention for Account Management team
  • Effectively address client satisfaction, renewal, and escalation issues until resolved
  • Build client satisfaction by soliciting feedback and operating like a consultant
  • Acts as a client visionary by bringing a highly valued perspective to the client based on a deep understanding of their business, issues, and opportunities
  • Overall strategic approach on the account/s designed and delivered to meet Client's business objectives and strategies. Oversees the implementation of the annual planning in conjunction with the client team
  • Generates and communicates a shared goal and unifies a team in the pursuit of a common objective.
  • Leading and provide timely and actionable feedback to the team to aid in their development and progress to the regional Wavemaker team.
  • Ensuring operational excellence in delivery to the customer
  • Engagement with internal stakeholders and support teams
What you'll bring:
  • Extensive experience in client communication and management, working with senior client stakeholders
  • Experience managing multiple brands/clients in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent analytical/ problem solving skills with the patience to examine detail and create solutions
  • Strong digital platform knowledge around paid social, paid search, programmatic and analytics
  • Strong data and tech exposure in leading clients in these areas
  • Being meticulous to details but have a macro view in creating solutions
  • Coaching and training skills
  • Collaborative and astute - able to build trust and respect within the network
  • Workflow management: organisational skills; time management; project management; planning and implementation; prioritisation; effective delegation
