Wholesale Lending Structuring
Singapore

As part of the Barclays Wholesale Lending Structuring team, you will have a unique opportunity to be accountable for structuring and executing investment grade (IG) and sub-IG bilateral, club and syndicated loan transactions for Barclays CIB. In this role, you will be covering all existing and target clients, who have borrowing requirements across both term loans and revolving credit facilities (RCFs).

Colleagues who perform \xe2\x80\x98onsite\xe2\x80\x99 roles will spend four or five days a week working onsite, depending on the requirements of their role and business area. What will you be doing?

• Supporting the proactive origination of deal opportunities from our target client base
• Taking accountability for the execution of loan financings through close liaison with other Product, Credit and Transaction Management teams
• Using selling skills to ensure Barclays wins the mandates and roles it desires as well as leading execution across the deal spectrum
• Evaluating the risk/reward balance of deals and achieving appropriate returns on capital deployed, in accordance with the bank\xe2\x80\x99s strategy
• Developing a high market-facing profile to generate new debt and associated business for Barclays
• Identifying opportunities for growth of the business, formulating strategies to deliver and being aware of competitive threats/opportunities within the corporate market
• Contributing to the development, implementation and embedding of tactical and strategic business change initiatives on an ongoing basis
• Coaching, overseeing and supporting junior members of the team

What we are looking for:

• Proven analytical experience in understanding complex funding structures
• Excellent credit risk analysis skills
• Team player, inspiring and encouraging of personal excellence, good team co-ordination and development skills
• Fluent in English

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Excellent negotiation skills and experience dealing with legal documentation
• In depth knowledge of the loan product
• In depth knowledge of macro-economic factors affecting the debt markets and understanding of the credit process
• Appropriate professional qualifications to demonstrate basic knowledge of the Regulatory environment and Corporate Finance, would be a plus
