Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

The Kuiper Global Development team is focused on launching and operating the Kuiper service across the globe.

A successful candidate will be both entrepreneurial and highly analytical, understand business and financial models for subscription services, and adept at understanding how businesses work in ASEAN. We are looking for someone customer obsessed and technology savvy with a proven track record of leading new initiatives and creating innovative, local solutions specifically adapted to connectivity needs in ASEAN.

Key job responsibilities
Develop consumer GTM, business and economic models and plans for the ASEAN region, excluding India
Analyze and recommend service plans, solutions and models to execute on Kuiper\'s B2C and B2B2C goals
Hire and develop a team geographically distributed across Asia
Engage in business development efforts and contract negotiation with local partners to prepare for Kuiper service in ASEAN.
Partner with legal, tax and regulatory to develop country planning for partnerships and operations
Be an accessible and visible leader to the organization
Deliver comprehensive, written strategy documents considering different types of data and inputs across a broad range of stakeholders
Once operational, meet business goals, performance objectives and deliver a fantastic customer experience

A day in the life
You will lead our efforts to develop go-to-market plans and business cases, identify partnerships and service provider relationships, and work across Amazon to develop a compelling model to deliver on our economic and customer obsession goals.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
  • 7+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience
  • 5+ years in consumer telecommunications (internet, pay TV or satellite service) service plans, solutions and models to execute on B2C and B2B2C goals
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of leadership experience as a general manager or other leadership position with P&L responsibility, and experience hiring and managing a team
