Started in 1935, Tamil Murasu is Singapore's only Tamil language newspaper. Tamil Murasu is the main information source for the Tamil-speaking Indian community with its coverage of wide-ranging news, from current affairs to local and foreign news as well as the latest in sports and entertainment, in addition to its strong coverage on news from the Indian community and the sub-continent. The newspaper has established itself as a voice for the Tamil-speaking community in Singapore.

We are seeking a highly-motivated individual to develop and implement subscription and promotion campaigns to grow Tamil Murasu, and its mobile application. Your main responsibilities involve forming effective above and below the line advertising communications and execution that will drive targets and results set.

The Job

• Identify key target segments and develop tailored marketing programs to reach out to these target segments.
• Generate new marketing ideas/campaigns to better engage our current and potential audience
• Champion promotional activities, from conceptualisation to completion, including administrative duties within the marketing scope of work.
• Plan, manage and execute all marketing, promotions and event plans with accuracy and in a timely manner to create awareness and branding through various platforms
• Work with the different stakeholders within SPH Media to develop effective communication creatives and marketing concepts to drive newspaper and app subscription.
• Manage and upkeep Advertising and Promotions budget, and prepare post campaign analysis.

• Bachelor's degree preferably in Business Administration/Marketing
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in digital marketing, marketing and product marketing
• A team player with a proven track record of conducting marketing promotions and campaigns
• Effectively bilingual (English/Tamil) to be able to cater to the Tamil Murasu audience.
• An independent worker who works well in a cross-functional team environment
• Confident, resourceful and works well under pressure
• Ability to resolve conflicts and stay focused on achieving the targets
• Willingness to work on weekends/public holidays
