Job summary
The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Supply Chain and Procurement team is responsible for the end-to-end supply chain delivery of capacity to AWS Data Centers.

We are looking for a talented, motivated, and highly analytical, Broker Operations Manager with demonstrated experience driving process improvement.

This Manager will be responsible for on-going broker operations management and strategic development of the next generation of customs operations and expansion for Amazon Web Services. This role will manage vendor(s) critical to the successful fulfillment of hardware to AWS data centers in Asia. Achieving such aspirational goals will require this individual to insist on the highest standards, develop and iterate on new processes, and drive continuous improvement activities internally and externally.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • A successful candidate will have operational background in brokerage operations and extensive experience in complex project management
  • Interface with cross internal and external functional partners to identify and rectify any information/process gaps during the export/import process
  • Coordinate end-to-end global customs broker management for country assessments and local compliance criteria
  • Drive trade planning and execution management for AWS sites and new programs
  • Manage brokers and clearance processes in existing and expanding locations.
  • Analyze trends related to import/export processing requirements to identify process improvements
  • Drive automation efforts
  • Prepare and give detailed data-driven business reviews to senior management, focused on improving service level and associated impacts

AWS Cloud Logistics manages a continuously evolving portfolio of shipments through a worldwide supply chain. We deliver the right product at the right time, cost, & place ensuring our AWS Supply Chain is reliable.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • 8+ years of direct experience with import/export compliance
  • 8+ years' experience commensurate with extensive knowledge of handling imports and/or exports in accordance with foreign government regulations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's Degree is a plus, but not required
  • Global logistics or supply chain experience is desirable
  • Experience using data driven process improvement tools and metrics
  • Experience engaging with regulators, and representing complex requirements for import and/or export activities preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in analyzing business problems using different tools
  • 2+years of experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements
  • Demonstrated exercise of sound judgment in uncertain situations
  • Ability to prioritize activities with changing timelines
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively while handling multiple tasks
