The role
Develop new contract logistics warehousing and distribution business in Singapore, with a focus on targeted customers primarily in the Retail, Consumer, Healthcare, Automotive, HiTech and Industrial verticals. As the Business Development Manager, you will:

  • Align own sales plan with Toll targets and strategy, deciding which sales opportunities and activities to focus on.
  • Expand business scale with customers, seek for new business, new customers in Logistics field to contribute to achieve total budget of revenue.
  • Gather market intelligence, produce and update critical date calendar and to report tender result and reason of win/failure.
  • You will be building strategic, trust-based relationships with prospective clients’ decision makers and provide industry insights, competitive landscape, leads and opportunity pipeline development.
  • Handle RFI/Q/P and tenders and work with internal stakeholders to ensure timely and quality submission.
  • Propose efficient logistics solution/ proposal meeting customer's need. and/or to manage and engage when there is any issue or irregularity related to customer. Find essence of trouble and take effective action for solving


Qualifications
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • 3-5 years experience in sales, preferably in Contract Logistics and Supply Chain Industry
  • Must have “business-to-business” sales experience in the transportation, logistics, or supply chain management industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft office skills like Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Use of Salesforce experience a plus
  • Good in Sales Pitch and Negotiation Skills for new business
  • Analytical skills to interpret customer support volume and competitors’ volume
