The Business Development Manager is a commercial role selling BioReliance\xc2\xae Biosafety Testing Services to customers in Singapore and Southeast Asia via phone, e-mail, and face-to-face communication. This role will also be responsible for the direct selling activities in focus accounts, attendance at key events, and maintaining close contact with key accounts for quotation of routine testing services and proposal generation for custom projects. This role will also be responsible to assist marketing in lead generation and qualification activities. The role is to be based in Singapore.

Your Role:

  • Key Account management and business development responsibility for Contract Testing Services of Life science services.
  • Responsible for growing the business and achieving set goals for Biosafety testing services for key accounts in Singapore and SEA.
  • Develop long-term business relationships with a portfolio of clients.
  • Identify new business opportunities with new and existing clients.
  • Understanding client\'s requirements and working with internal departments to ensure that the client\'s requirements are met
  • Preparing quotations for the client.
  • Manage and Solve conflicts of the clients.
  • Organizing technical seminars and workshops
  • Coordinate with global teams in US, UK, Singapore as labs and technical scientist present in US, UK and Singapore.
Who You Are:
  • Good scientific credentials, qualifications at least to first-degree level in areas of the life sciences; MSc or Ph.D. preferred.
  • Have at least 7-10 years of relevant sales / technical sales experience or equivalent, ideally balanced in a contract testing service environment of a bio-manufacturing environment.
  • Relevant industry experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment is required.
  • Experience within a regulated environment and ability to interact effectively with quality assurance/quality control professionals
  • Strong negotiating skills are required. As the "voice of the expert", provide effective communication and working relationships with customers.
  • Self-motivated with unrivaled drive and energy, with a readiness to take on tough challenges and see them through to a conclusion.
  • Results-oriented: able to gather business-critical information on which to base judgment and decide priorities.
  • Has good business acumen: able to combine negotiating skills with significant scientific depth to identify and secure business opportunities.
  • Demonstrates good communication ability, with the credibility and skills of persuasion that is required to present arguments in a diplomatic, clear, concise, and logical manner, and to influence others positively.
  • Customer-centric mindset and possess a continuous improvement attitude.
