Caterpillar is hiring for our highly regarded " Field Representative Development Program ", based in Singapore.
About the Program:
This program is designed to build employee skill sets through customized development focused on supporting Caterpillar dealers and customers
When you join this program, you will be participating in rotational assignments focused on developing your industry, product, application, marketing & sales, and/or technical knowledge etc. - all with an intense focus on serving Caterpillar's customers better
You'll be assigned a coach to help guide your progression through the Program. You will receive soft-skill, sales, and technical training specific to your field assignments, and participate in a variety of rotations across different businesses to ensure you have the means necessary to achieve your career goals
While working in the rotational assignments, you may have opportunities to travel internationally and to regional Caterpillar facilities and customer sites for short-term assignments.
If you successfully graduate from this Field Representative Development Program, you will be placed in a position within the Construction Industry Services Division (CISD) as an Aftermarket Service Representative (ASR).
In this role, you will be expected to:
Manage an assigned territory to meet KPI's
Collaborate with dealers on aftermarket sales opportunities by connecting data to develop sales solutions and support dealers to meet customer needs.
Implement sales strategies to grow market share and increase awareness.
Interact with people at all levels, regionally and globally
Your rotations will be tailored to best prepare you for your future role within CISD. Based on your interests, skills, and abilities the rotations will develop:
Industry and product application knowledge as well as a strong understanding of the Caterpillar Dealer network
Skill sets within a specific industry and to help prepare you for future positions within the organization
Prepare you for a field-based sales position
Ability to work independently, collaboratively and communicate with others in a variety of work environments to build trust

Required Skill and Experience:
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Enthusiasm for sales and understanding of customer loyalty
A Bachelor's degree in an accredited Marketing, Business, Mechanical or Engineering field
Previous work experience in sales, product support, or market development a plus
Willing to travel (25%)
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Previous technical internship or entry-level marketing experience
Aftermarket Sales experience in construction and infrastructure related fields / automotive would be an advantage
Understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and experience with Salesforce
Digital sales experience and utilization vs traditional offline channels
Demonstrated technical and non-technical aptitudes
A true passion to learn about Construction Equipment
