Details of the Division and Team: The Corporate Bank Division is a market leader in cash management, trade finance, lending, trust and agency services and securities services, as well as risk management for foreign exchange and interest rates. Securities Services (SeS) Operations provides custody, clearing and settlement and fund services to global custodians, broker/dealers and prime brokers as well as buy-side firms and other institutional clients.

Your key responsibilities: The Programme Manager will lead all Transformation initiatives under the Last Mile Connectivity programme across Corporate Bank Operations in APAC. The Project Manager is required to lead a team of Operations Engineers for the initiatives and the key responsibilities of the role are as follows:
  • Drive and execute robust country/regional Opco and SteerCo governance on transformation initiatives in collaboration with Operations, Technology, Divisional Control Unit and Business
  • Develop project plans, milestones, risk/dependencies and associated MI reports or dashboards for management reporting in a timely fashion
  • Lead and administer the rationalisation efforts of last mile connectivity for the APAC region and inventorise in-line with bank standards and policies
  • Partner with Technology on the automation/connectivity roadmap synergistically and build a sustainable connectivity with clear prioritisation interlock with Product team
  • Close engagement and communication with branch operations to understand the in-country needs and APAC as a whole
  • Abilility to interpret complex data sets relating to APAC business to support business and operational insights which drive the Operations Engineers analysis / recommendations for prioritisation
  • Drive issue resolution or options articulation around any problems or challenges that crop up in the course of execution of above initiatives
  • Ensure experience gleaned and knowledge gathered from various projects is documented and shared across change team for leverage on other ongoing or future initiatives.
Your skills and experience: 5+ years experience in Operations processes and/or as Project Manager in an financial services organization (preferably a Tier 1 corporate & investment bank)
  • Understand and translate business requirements to requirement specifications and functional designs and ensure the tech specifications are aligned with the business requirements.
  • Analyze and interpret complex data sets relating to APAC business to support business and operational insights
  • Perform UAT testing, lead & drive the assigned projects, while ensuring the system and deliverables are within the scope of the contractual requirements towards delivering operational benefits.
  • Strong visual skills in PowerPoint, Excel and other MS Office systems
  • Strong concept and design skills, an excellent eye for layout, ability to work fast
  • Able to identify and drive continuous improvement
  • Ability to work in tight deadlines fast-paced environment
  • Proven stakeholder management and people skills
  • Strong communication and influencing skills working with senior stakeholders
  • Open minded, able to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to colleagues
  • Strong organizational/project management skills; ability to identify and prioritize multiple tasks
  • An appreciation of technology with strong project management background and understanding of the various corporate banking businesses will be advantageous
