Job Description


Our client is a Global MNC dealing in the distribution of equipment for the construction and infrastructure industries. Their office here in UBI area is currently looking for a COMMERCIAL MANAGER

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

Responsible for growth in sales, market share and profit for Singapore.

  • Drive sales by creating, executing and communicating strategic business plans to grow sales. Monitor actual results vs. the plan throughout the year.
  • Position self as a resource and leader for the overall sales organization assisting in implementing the Singapore business plans.
  • Negotiate sales promotional programs consistent with management goals.
  • Development product and merchandising support including distributor promotions, pricing, etc.
  • Team with the regional HQ in Malaysia to create account plans, pricing, and offer assistance to drive sales. Recommend opportunities for increased sales, based on knowledge of Singapore market.
  • Maintain contact with dealer / distribution centers to provide feedback on the distribution services being provided and recommend ways to improve the level of service as needed.
Building value added relationships with key distributors in the region.
  • Coordinate selling tactics that focus on delivering the desired financial results to distribution.
  • Coordinate cross-functional team effort, to include product managers, in the design of customized programs and promotions for strategic regional accounts.
  • Providing feedback from the field related to competition, distribution channels, end-user applications and products.
Professional development of the Singapore sales team.
  • Recruit, interview & hire team members striving to develop a diverse work team.
  • Train, coach & mentor direct reports for continuous improvement in performance.
  • Develop goals and evaluate performance of direct reports toward achieving those goals.
  • Identify performance issues of direct reports and develop corrective action plans for improved performance.
  • Facilitate and work to continuously improve the utilization and effectiveness of the company\xe2\x80\x99s
  • employee performance review process within the sales team.
  • Champion the effort to maximize utilization of technology by the sales team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in any discipline is highly preferred.
  • 10 - 12 years successful Sales, Marketing and Commercial experience (achieving targets) with strong emphasis on commercial and dealer/end user sales.
  • Practical minded with a technical / mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn and apply new product or technical knowledge.
  • Determination to build a career with a forward-thinking business.
  • IT Literate
