Roles & Responsibilities Job Purpose Lead and develop a clear and cohesive long-term strategy for A-Gas in ASEAN countries/Asia. In conjunction with the A-Gas International Executive and Group Board build A-Gas profile in the ASEAN region aligned to the overall A-Gas business plan. Working with the Group CEO, COO and current Managing Directors of A-Gas companies to assess the key strategic priorities for A-Gas in the region including the longer-term plans for A-Gas’ existing entities in Asia.
Reports to Group COO. The role is commensurate with the existing Managing Director group.
Key responsibilities The role is designed to accelerate the development of A-Gas long term plans in Asia. Working closely with the AGI Executive and MD Asia-Pacific to establish, define and deliver a clear and focused strategy in the region. This will include:

• Establishing the opportunity for the A-Gas model to operate successfully in Asia – accepting that this may differ between countries;
• Build the profile of A-Gas and establish the necessary links within the key regional stakeholders – Governments and their representatives, potential supply and channel partners, potential customers and future partners, potential suitors for the A-Gas business;
• Write a detailed strategic plan and timeline including investment and resourcing requirements;
• Identify potential M&A targets and adjacent market opportunities to invest in, working with the Group M&A Director to develop relationships and targets as appropriate;
• Mentor the existing team in Singapore/Thailand/Japan in their longer term development within A-Gas
• Present the strategy and action plan to the AGI Executive and AGI Board.
• Full P&L responsibility of A-Gas entities in Asia

Qualification & Behavioural Traits

• 15 years in management role in chemical industry, preferred in refrigerant life cycle management, recovery and reclamation;
• Bachelor’s degree in chemicals, engineering, MBA preferred
• Asia regional experience and exposure
• Track record in P&L management and business development
• Leadership and problem-solving skills
• Flexible and willing to adapt to new environments
• Ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritise as necessary
• Customer orientation and business acumen

Principal Place of Work
A-Gas Singapore office. Travel as required across Asia and within the broader A-Gas global network.
