Digital Insights OU (CAAS OU) Role/Responsibilities
As the Business strategist for our core business in the APAC region, your aim is to enable users to unlock the value of Moody’s CreditView. To do this, you seek to drive client retention and new growth within the region by understanding our customers and how we are positioned to meet their needs. You develop the regional business strategy through market research, client data analysis, and regular conversations with salespeople, partners, and clients. As an advisor for our research and analyst teams, you provide insight into how content is consumed, identify and define product initiatives which drives usage, and solutions to build the best user experience across our covered market segments. To keep our regional customers’ businesses running efficiently, the Business Strategist analyzes how CreditView content gets promoted and translated for Chinese and Japanese consumers and set a marketing strategy to captivate local audiences. Ultimately, you will be developing the rationale for new product initiatives by prioritizing focus areas that achieve a positive return on investment. This role will report to our Global Head of Business Strategy in New York. Your Responsibilities

  • Be the leader of your business area by advocating for the customer, owning outcomes and promoting decisions that have positive impact
  • Serve as regional advisor to our rating agency analysts by providing purposeful insight of product consumption trends
  • Strengthen Moody’s Investors Service’s thought leadership by developing a strategy for regional content and event promotion
  • Partner with product managers to implement product updates that integrate changes to research and ratings content
  • Define Market Intelligence and Go-To-Market initiatives associated with regional strategies
  • Maintain a dynamic business plan outlining central initiatives to achieve intended outcomes including measurable targets for each initiative
  • Present business plans to executive leadership team to secure investment in regional strategies
  • Collaborate with Digital Insights strategists and product owners to develop, align, prioritize, and implement long-term and short-term roadmaps
  • Ensure clear communication and coordination across business, design, and development teams. You will raise and resolve risks or misalignment.
Qualifications
  • 7+ years working in product and business strategy with previous experience with Agile methodologies
  • Ability to present and influence various executive leaders to gain consensus and investment of strategies using evidence to support your proposal.
  • Managed a team and have the ability to positively influence the career arc of your team members
  • Have owned major business initiatives from conceptualization to completion and articulate outcomes using data and client insights
  • Reputation of understanding customer needs, working across a variety of functional teams, developing solutions, and launching products
  • You take ownership of the results – track critical metrics and use them to drive decision-making about what’s next
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills to communicate constructively
  • Collaborative approach with a track record of building strong relations at all levels and across the organization
  • Continually improve the efficiency of your peers and the organization through your ideas, actions and influence. You enable the team through scalable processes.
  • Empower partners with your product insights through your deep knowledge of the user, workflows, sales and marketing processes, and the objectives of the business.
  • Demonstrate multidisciplinary business strategy that encompasses the business rather than just the team’s objectives
  • Business level English and Chinese preferred to support the markets.
