Summary of AGRI Centre

The Agriculture Research and Innovation (AGRI) Centre aims to help local farms increase crop production and enhance farm operations. We are committed to fostering a stronger partnership between academia and industry in supporting Singapore's '30 by 30' goal for food security through our extensive research and development work to enhance crop health, develop superior crops and enable smart farming solutions. Gathering subject matter experts from various schools at RP consisting of plant biologists, microbiologists, molecular biologists, food scientists, engineers, data analysts, and market researchers, the AGRI Centre provides holistic agriculture solutions and adopts a multidisciplinary approach in research and development.

• Lead the Agriculture Research and Innovation (AGRI) Centre and manage the overall Technology, Innovation, Enterprise (TIE) efforts and industry engagements for the Centre
• Lead the joint activities between Republic Polytechnic and collaborating partners
• Secure grants and industry collaborations for driving the growth of the Centre
• Work across departments to coordinate efforts and facilitate project collaborations
• Work with Assistant Directors (Continuous Education and Training (CET) across different departments to develop CET training courses for Agritech

• At least 15 years of relevant work experience in the Agri-tech management or related industry, with minimum 10 years in the role of Management, business development, sales or marketing

• Experience in plant R&D and ability to lead commercially viable innovation projects with industry related to the following: crop health, superior crops and smart farming.

• Played a key role in development and implementation of strategic roadmaps for meeting organization's goal.

• Extensive network with key local industry players, associations, universities and research institutes
