Job Description


This pivotal role will strategically drive and deliver recruitment effectiveness, policy\xe2\x80\x99s, tools, and programmes that provide high organisational impact and improve the recruitment performance of IHG\xe2\x80\x99s recruitment engine room. In tandem with this - you will effectively leverage resources to provide strategic design, consultation, and support to ensure alignment and provide guidance to the business on use of emerging Resourcing technologies, innovation, practices, and trends to drive the modernization of Talent Acquisition both globally, but at a regional level across multi boundaries also. Supplier partnership, both new and yet to be discovered will also be a key element of this role both contractually and performance also. Compliance, governance, candidate management and care will be an integral part of this role and the maintenance of all legislative requirements within the recruitment lifecycle. The role is a natural connector of data and reporting to drive meaningful recruitment insights, performance and monitoring of any agreed KPI@s or measurements. Both a guardian and gatekeeper of how recruitment is carried out - the IHG way will underpin the organisations core values and beliefs and reflect an employer brand that others will be inspired to join.

Key Accountabilities Working with the VP, Global Talent Acquisition this is a pivotal role in driving, embedding and maintaining:

  • Recruitment effectiveness globally across the TA end to end value chain
  • Vendor optimisation externally \xe2\x80\x93 both partnerships and recruiting Agency\xe2\x80\x99s
  • Modernized recruitment practices and policy\xe2\x80\x99s
  • Innovation through systems, practices, and technology in close partnership with regional talent acquisition leads and their teams plus our hotel portfolio.
  • TA Dashboards, Reporting, TA programme management of annual core goals
  • Partnering closely with all TA Regional Leads and Regional HRVP\xe2\x80\x99s
  • Ensuring the IHG way of recruiting, philosophies and principles are at the core and culture and values shine brightly throughout
  • Role model effective ways of working, best practice, external experience applied internally I the right way
Key Collaborative Network
  • Define and manage all global strategic partnerships with global partners including recruiting technology providers, executive and recruitment agencies, (where relevant), translation partners, research firms, professional networks, digital video interview providers, selection, and assessment partners etc\xe2\x80\xa6
  • Champion talent acquisition within the business, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, globally
  • Introduce global recruiting reporting standards and measure performance and on-going utilisation of recruiting and sourcing channels driving RoI for IHG
  • Lead, inspire and coach global stakeholders to take responsibility for reducing the overall cost of recruitment at the same time improving quality of hire and time to hire, encourage innovation around attraction, selection and hiring where appropriate
  • Work with Talent Acquisition teams to develop and implement global recruitment processes to optimize candidate experience for both internal and external hires. Ensure processes are understood, communicated, and embedded and above of \xe2\x80\x93 maintained to a high standard.
  • Identify the latest trends in recruitment ensuring that IHG stays ahead of the competition - driving and implementing developments in e-recruitment, sourcing, and candidate relationship marketing
  • In partnership with Global Talent and Regions, co-develop selection tools to enable us to filter candidates effectively against our culture and values
  • In partnership with Procurement, responsible for negotiating terms with global suppliers, optimizing ways of working and ensuring consistent supplier reporting and ROI for the group
  • Attend industry networking events to garner best practice and build networking relationships that enable IHG to achieve a \xe2\x80\x98best in class and \xe2\x80\x98Employer of Choice\xe2\x80\x99 resourcing capability
  • Build recruitment and assessment skills in the business by devising and delivering programmes to increase capability for making confident hiring decisions
  • Drive global consistency with line managers and recruitment teams to ensure consumer grade candidate and hiring leader experience is always present, for all.

Education - Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Business, HR or related field required

Technical Skills and Knowledge Essential: -
  • Competent spoken and written English. Additional languages are a plus bit not essential
  • 10 plus years of experience recruiting across geo borders and business disciplines. Experience working in large, global, and highly matrixed organizations is essential.
  • Extensive experience in leading and delivering through others as well as a strong desire to collaborate and foster strong performance collectively
  • Significant experience within Talent Acquisition and in leading the development of global recruiting practices, policies, and processes
  • Demonstrable recruitment leadership experience in a blue chip, global, multi-country environment.
  • Track record of leading and embedding significant transformational change to resourcing practices and programme management cross borders
  • Able to define recruitment processes that help IHG successfully recruit key, diverse talent in a manner that builds IHG\'s brand globally
  • Extensive of experience recruiting across geo borders and multi-business disciplines.
  • Sound understanding of legal principles, across multi-borders surrounding global talent acquisition and recruiting
  • Proven experience working with multiple groups of external recruitment vendors and varied partnerships to driving business results
  • Significant experience working with legal and procurement to ensure contractual harmonization with vendors
  • In depth knowledge of and experience with the latest technologies and platforms that support recruitment globally
  • Knowledge of pre-hire selection assessments use, application, and legal requirements
  • Strong programme management would be ideal with a desire to drive strong outcomes
  • Well-honed knowledge of manipulating data to drive insight lead discussions and the ability to drive performance to the next level
  • Willing and able to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, and demonstrate flexibility
  • Possess sound business ethics and show consistency between principles, values, and behaviors
  • Ability to travel internationally as required
  • Previous time working in a recruiting center of excellence and/or supporting a transformation agenda will be a huge benefit.
  • A strong change-management toolbox, adept at recognizing when to support and when to challenge.
  • A naturally curious personality that is always keen to ensure external market is explored with a view to adapting for internal use
  • Exceptionally strong influencing and relationship in the committed and pursuit of excellence.
  • Ability to work both at a strategic level and at a very tactical level, and flex between the two with ease.
  • High energy and engaging, a natural team player, influencer of many and a drive and spirit for all to see
