HOYA Technosurgical, is a subsidiary of HOYA Corporation, established in Tokyo, Japan in 2013, which has the origin of PENTAX medical business unit in 1974 arising from the merger of former PENTAX medical business unit & Japan Universal Technologies, Inc. HOYA Technosurgical will be setting up their first overseas plant in Singapore focusing on manufacturing, research & development and sale of Chromatography Media to pharmaceutical companies.Reporting Relationship: Direct reporting line to the Associate Finance DirectorMatrix reporting to Head of Production, Engineering & Facility ManagementMain Purpose of Job: This position will be engaged in the end-to-end supply planning, coordinating and procuring various supplies, equipment, raw materials and inventory needs for the HOTS SGB manufacturing plant.Key Duties & Responsibilities: Inventory management of direct and/or raw materials Review and evaluate safety stock levels, minimum order quantities, suppliers lead time and access IQC lead time on a regular basis Monitor actual and forecasted consumption of materials to ascertain purchase order quantities and schedules Evaluate material requirements, create and issue Purchase Orders to suppliers Balance material purchases and consumptions to minimize write-offs Single point of contact for suppliers to resolve issues pertaining to quality, delivery, invoices and any other order related issues to facilitate on time order delivery Payment term management including negotiation with the suppliers Follow up with suppliers on delivery schedules to meet company's plan Timely issuance of "Return-to-Vendor" for defective materials to suppliers and compile relevant data for reporting Issue Purchase Orders after internal submission of approval documents for purchases Ensure accuracy of information on Purchase Orders and Order Confirmations from suppliers and follow up with closure on Purchase Orders Regular communication with internal and external stakeholders to provide most up to date information on the status of orders and to understand production priorities Inventory management and logistics of finished product Identify continuous improvement opportunities Aim to understand the Capex and Opex budget and monitor the amount for both utilization and under-utilization, if any. Update fixed asset setting/acquisition report in a timely manner, at least once a month Participate in daily and weekly cross functional meeting to support seamless execution in deliverablesEssential Experience/SkillsEducation: Minimum diploma in Materials Management/Business Management/Supply Chain Management/Engineering/Logistics-related disciplinesExperience: At least 3 years of purchasing and planning experience is required for this role Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred Possess excellent organizational skills Detail and results oriented Good balance of working independently and collaboratively with team members from other functions and departments Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
