The Opportunity


As the VP APAC Cluster General Manager, Heading the Cluster role for APAC in the International Markets Organization, you will be expected to ensure strong business performance, while fostering a robust in-cluster organization, delivering solid business growth and leading in compliance with global & local regulations, Teva strategy, vision & values.
  • Acting as a leader and part of the International Markets Leadership Team, your main responsibilities are as follows:
  • Customer-focused revenue growth:
  • Ensure strong governance, achieve agreed market targets and short term and medium term financial objectives through excellence in people management and full P&L ownership for the Cluster;
  • Cluster Role for APAC includes the following countries: Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam
  • Steer cluster strategic direction in relation to International Markets Strategy and provide tactical inputs in line with regional and corporate objectives for solid and sustainable business performance while maximizing Teva interests and promoting a patient centric approach;


Managing Reputation & Risk
  • Proactively shape the local market landscape by strengthening Teva’s presence through influence, excellent stakeholder engagement and close interaction with the APAC (commercial and functional) Teams;
  • Play a critical role in ensuring compliance with local, regional and corporate requirements/standards;

People & Culture
  • Foster a high performing organization focused on performance driven culture, people engagement, talent management, succession planning and leveraging on all available resources within the Cluster and the Region;
  • Continue building on the existing leadership assets within the Cluster by providing management oversight, developing key staff and involving them in decision making processes;
  • Promote ethical behavior & integrity.

Efficiency & Innovation
  • Take a leading role in the implementation of major projects and initiatives at local, regional & corporate level. Build competitive knowledge for growing further business development and partnership opportunities;

Qualifications


  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years in a regional executive position
  • Possess general management/strong commercial expertise with the ability to manage a “complex” business model;
  • Track record of successful achievements and clear progression in sales and marketing;
  • Ideally bring a combination of regional marketing and national commercial management experience;
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical industry preferably gained with the APAC region
  • Proven ability to effectively build lasting relationships by demonstrating strong interpersonal and influencing skills throughout all levels of the organization as well as with customers and health authorities
  • A successful track record of managing business transformation and ability to fully embrace the changes that the company aims to make for its future, experience in both direct and indirect business model. Ability to serve as an excellent catalyst for change management.
  • Great understanding of financials and outstanding leadership capabilities;
  • A track record of being effective in a multinational company and have a global mind-set and cultural flexibility.
  • Have an entrepreneurial and creative approach;
  • Show strong capability of managing and decision making in matrix environment
  • Bring experience of leading major change initiatives and/or projects
