Job Title:General ManagerJob Summary:As a GM, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the business. You will oversee service standards, operational efficiency, member/guest experience, staff retention and profitability as well as all aspects of day-to-day management. You will have full P&L responsibility and will have to drive revenues and manage costs while delivering a high level of service and hospitality.The Role:You must be an ambassador for the brand and fully embrace our ethos and support its purpose. As a leader, you will be expected to lead by example for all staff and be the strongest advocate for all members.You will demonstrate an incredible work ethic and abide by key qualities of curiosity, kindness, fairness, transparency, and courage. As a strategic business partner, you will fill a critical role as a facilitator connecting and aligning all teams to deliver the company\'s experience.You will work very closely with all Heads of Departments to deliver unforgettable moments through staff, food, drink, events and amenities. You will work collaboratively with the management team to develop strategy and goals which will be translated to actional budgets and plans. You will then be responsible for ensuring the effective communication and implementation of the plans together with the management team. You will also support the growth and development of the brand and business as it expands into other new markets and concepts.You will also partner and work closely with management of our restaurant on an advisory capacity to help solve issues as and when they arise and provide guidance to help improve operations.Main Duties

  • Strategic business partner and influential leader who communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders by assessing business objectives and delivering an elevated, approachable, and profitable experience that is consistent and regularly assessed for improvement and innovation
  • Work closely with the management team to assess and develop operational goals based on weekly, daily, and quarterly business performance reviews
  • High level of touch and understanding of members\' safety and personal preferences while maintaining the purpose and ethos of the organization
  • Execute action plans on time and budget to support business improvements and focus on optimizing profit, minimizing margins and promoting exceptional experience(s) for members, guests and staff
  • Improve and help develop and implement SOPs based on specific needs of the company. Ensure adherence to policies and regulations for food safety, fire, and medical emergencies, ensuring the highest level of competence and compliance with all operational requirements
  • Collaborative partner to all business functions to drive effective processes and implement innovative opportunities that efficiently drive sales and staff/member retention through HR, Recruitment, Learning & Development, F&B/Operations, Marketing, PR, Social, Events & Programming, Finance, and Facilities
  • Independent leader and decision maker that leads by example and supports, guides, develops and implements policies, procedures, and systems to improve business operations, service, staff and member retention and overall experiences
Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Experience managing high-volume Hospitality, Food and Beverage (F&B) or multi-unit operations. Experience in a members club would be an advantage.
  • Global outlook and wide-ranging experience together with the ability to calmly deal with multi-faceted challenges that arise from a private members club.
  • Innovator and influencer with previous experience managing F&B operations that focus on service and providing top-quality experiences through food and drink.
  • Creative problem solver and analytical thinker who encompasses strong business aptitude and is driven by results and guest satisfaction. Naturally hospitable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships (internal/external) as well as highly organized, efficient and detail-oriented
  • Understand, maintain, and enforce local and government-regulated food safety, risk prevention, fire prevention and emergency procedures to ensure the safety of all staff and guests
  • A strong people-focused leader who will work with the Heads of Departments to support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing business development
