Job Description

1. Providing accurate, relevant, and timely advice to your employer and other members of staff on a variety of legal topics that relate to the business sector and their products or services. 2. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial contracts and agreements. 3. Managing and mitigating legal risks by designing and implementing company policies and procedures. 4. Advise senior management on corporate governance policies, compliance of law, regulations, tax matters, legal rights. 5. Ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations that apply to the business. 6. Promoting legal, compliance and risk management best practice throughout the company. 7. Review and provide recommendations on the legal aspects and considerations for resolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships, and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries. 8. Periodically assess legal risks and data compliance risks of business and provide compliance solutions for business departments. 9. Communicating with and managing any third-party bodies such as external counsel or other stakeholders. 10. Standardizing existing common legal documents, such as NDA, MOU, lease, contracts with supplier, etc. 11. Communicate and negotiate with external parties such as regulators, external counsel, public authority, etc. 12. Monitoring the terms of critical agreements such as MSA, JOA and PSC to ensure compliance and legal rights are fully exercised etc 13. Lead or support other projects and tasks as may be required from time to time. 14. Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advise on possible legal issues. 15. Pay attention, collect, and research the latest overseas laws and regulations, regulatory policies, trends, etc. related to the industry, conduct analysis and research, and write research reports, legal analysis reports, etc. 16. Staying up-to-date with changes to legislation, particularly in relation to laws, rules and regulations that directly affect your business and specific industry.

Desired Qualification:

1. Degree in Law ( LLB ) , from a recognized University 2. Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in practice and/or in-house 3. Proven experience as a legal counsel in a business environment will be preferred. 4. A sound understanding of all aspects of commercial and contract law as well as corporate secretarial and an ability to apply that knowledge pragmatically in a business environment. 5. Able to work as a legal generalist and handle most day to day matters such as reviewing general contracts and the like. 6. Good in Multi-languange ( East Asian ) and English communication skill. 7. Understanding of the international business law and contract. 8. Sound judgment and ability to analyses situations and information 9. Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills 10. Able to work independently in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment. 11. Provide time-sensitive support on a wide array of legal and compliance inquiries in all operational aspects. 12. The ability to communicate complex legal issues and risks in terms that non-legal colleagues can understand. 13. The ability to work in a highly autonomous role. 14.
