Tasks and Responsibilities:

Provide legal support for the maritime businesses, principally PaxOcean group
Be a solutions provider; offering sound, relevant and practical advice or assistance that factors in commercial considerations
Adopts a multi-disciplinary approach in handling transactions, including being able to drive transactions where required

Desired Skills and Experience

Singapore or Common Law qualified
Good academic credentials
6 to 12 years PQE from a combination of private practice and in-house role(s)
Experience in the maritime/shipping/offshore oil and gas industry would be advantageous
Experience in negotiating and managing offshore oil and gas construction contracts or shipbuilding contracts would be advantageous
Exposure to corporate transactions e.g. M&A
Able to handle primarily non-contentious work and contentious work, including directing external counsel
Team player, adaptable and having good communication skills
Proactive; possessing initiative
Able to perform under pressure
