About Our Client
Our client is a leading global e-commerce and technology company. Publicly listed and one of the top 50 largest public companies in the world, they are starting a new b2b platform with great potential for expansion. They are looking for a Legal Counsel based in Singapore with a passion for fintech & payments work to build up the team.
Reporting to the Head of Legal in Hong Kong, you will be a core member of the legal team and cover the following job scopes:
- Advise on regulatory compliance for payment and financial products, particularly in relation to the application of the payment licence
- Be at the forefront of negotiating, drafting and reviewing contracts and commercial agreements
- Provide input into business strategies from a legal perspective
- Work with external counsels in foreign jurisdictions
The Successful Applicant
You possess the following expertise and qualities:
- At least 5 years of experience in the fintech sector (law firm and inhouse experience are both okay)
- Good experience in payments related licensing and regulatory matters
- Commercial acumen and an interest in technology and business
