This role will evaluate and push for ways to make the supply chain faster, more efficient and more responsive to stakeholder and customer requirements so that the right product is at the right place at the right time. This managerial role will work to invent the supply chain of the future and solve operational challenges to improve performance and create a sustainable competitive advantage. This role will be a champion for the Devices Supply Chain team. The right individual for this role must possess a service mentality with a customer centric mindset with their primary objectives as follows: 1) enable scale for the Devices Supply Chain group 2) Enable customer loyalty, 3) Showcase Microsoft products through application in our supply chain and 4) support regulatory compliance requirements Microsoft is looking for that individual that has proven end to end supply chain operational & implementation, process experience across a global supply chain operations. The successful candidate will be able to use analytics to identify improvement opportunities and then work cross-functionally to implement the changes. Responsibilities Responsible for all Logistics operations in the APOC Region covering all Asia Pacific countries, China, India, and Japan. Improves existing processes on local level while driving global process guidelines and designs. Identifying and implementing transformational initiatives that deliver significant positive differentiators resulting in increased service level and performance with our customers and consumers. Manage a playbook for the Logistics function execution against clearly define SLA and managed with KPI's# Management of an outsourced vendor team. Leads engagement with internal and external partners on improvement initiatives. Focusing on leveraging best practices across all regions Operational performance optimization and improvement of Fulfillment and Logistics activities, reporting on same and ownership of the last mile to our customers Ensures that systems and processes are used correctly, driving efficiencies where required. Collaborate with other stakeholder functional groups to capture and resolve 'big picture' opportunities and issues where customers, both internal and external, are affected Identify solutions for capturing and reporting real-time information related to key supply chain indicators. Drive consistency in process and services to align with defined policies and procedures and meet performance expectations for consistency and accuracy across our supply base and infrastructure. Achieve world class excellence through change management and by driving process improvements using project management methodology. Qualifications A strong track record in outsourced vendor management and the ability to oversee the delivery of complex solutions and to drive to successful outcome A minimum of 5+ years of experience in Logistics roles preferably within a high tech manufacturer managing across customer segments from Retail, Distributor, Consumer, Enterprise, etc. Good business judgement, exceptional communication skills and ability to resolve conflicts diplomatically Experience with logistics management systems (SAP,TMS, WMS, etc.) Demonstrated project management experience leading projects Proficient in data modeling and analysis. Able to translate data into business recommendations. Proven ability to implement and execute programs in support of corporate strategy Experience with Supply Chain Optimization, Operations Management, Information Systems and Inventory Management Proven cross-functional leadership (internal or external) Self-driven initiative to gain and share a broader knowledge of supply chain Bachelor's in supply chain, engineering , Logistics or Materials Management.
