Support/Lead the review of, and develop operational policies for employment laws, such as the Employment Act, Employment Claims Act, Retirement and Re-employment Act, Industrial Relations Act, etc to ensure smooth implementation according to policy intent and raise employment standards Support the work of the Tripartite Committee on Workplace Fairness, including: - Working with SNEF and NTUC to develop the case management and claims process and enforcement framework relating to breaches of the law - Working with Tripartite Alliance Limited departments (TAFEP, TADM) on implementing processes and capability building/organisational change as needed Support the work of other tripartite workgroups/platforms on employment policies and practices Develop and oversee strategies and plans for proactive operations such as the upstream monitoring of salary payments by employers to allow for early intervention of salary arrears Drafting public replies and managing public communications (e.g., parliamentary questions, media queries, questions from members of the public)
What we are looking for:
Tertiary qualification in any discipline Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills Able to take initiative, work independently and manage timelines effectively Good writing, communication and interpersonal skills Team player Ability to work with multiple stakeholders Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel (V-lookup, Pivot Tables, Formula, etc) will be an advantage Desire to make a difference for workplaces and the workforce in Singapore *PWDs are welcome to apply
