GROUP PROJECT MANAGER (ARCHITECTURE & INTERIOR DESIGN)

Length of engagement: 18 months with potential to convert to full time

The Group is in search of a seasoned construction project manager, with experience in interior design and styling, to support the Group Operations Support team on a wide range of projects

from new openings to venue refreshes and ongoing maintenance.

The Group Project Manager ensures all venue-related design and construction projects are on-time, on budget, in compliance to regulatory codes while respecting our extremely high

design aspirations. It requires understanding, developing, and executing design ideas, taking them from concept and production through installation and final sourcing for styling.

A great candidate for this role should have a perpetually positive attitude, a naturally strong work ethic, highly apt at managing multiple stakeholders to arrive at a consensus, enjoy working with other designers and with the group\'s operations team to improve guest experience while maintaining the unique design integrity of all our projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage project teams of architects, designers, contractors, and vendors to execute projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their project requirements, objectives, and design preferences.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including budgets, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with business goals and company standards.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from conceptualization and design development to construction and final installation.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, address any issues or delays, and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Liaise and regularly update the interior design team on any changes that deviate from the original plan when the project is on-site and work with designers to offer solutions to help protect and deliver their design vision.
  • Manage project budgets, tracking expenses, and proposing adjustments as necessary to stay within budgetary limits.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source and procure materials, furnishings, and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and quality control.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among project team members, ensuring clear lines of communication, efficient workflows, and resolution of conflicts.
  • Provide regular project updates to key stakeholders, addressing any concerns and proactively managing expectations.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement lessons learned in future projects.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in construction, interior design, and styling.
  • [For leasing portfolio] To review and manage tenant shopfront design proposals according to guidelines set.
  • [For leasing portfolio] To provide the marketing team with basic architecture, interior and compliance support as it pertains to all programming, styling, and art moments within the development.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor\'s degree in construction management, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. Relevant certifications or additional training is a plus.
  • Proven experience of at least 5 years as a Project Manager in the construction, interior design, or related industry, with a strong track record of successful project delivery.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, interior design principles, and styling techniques.
  • Proficiency in project management software, tools, and techniques to track project progress, manage budgets, and communicate effectively.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams toward project success.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering projects of the highest quality.
  • Problem-solving mindset and the ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements and priorities.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
