Job Description
Major responsibilities include hands-on execution of disease model development, validation and experiments to screen and evaluate compounds for efficacy, mechanism of action finding and toxicity in various animal models of diseases with clinically-relevant endpoints, especially with willingness to handle rodents.
Job Requirements:
- Cell culture: Maintenance of cancer cell lines & tumor lines. Familiar to reviving, culturing and freezing of various mouse & human cancer cell lines for animal model development, in vitro high throughput drug screening, Cytotoxicity assays (MTT, MTS etc), viral work and establishment of stable cell lines.
- Molecular biology Techniques: DNA and total RNA extraction, isolation, purification for PCR, rt-PCR, Western blot, immunofluorescence, design of primers, molecular cloning, experience in the field of noncoding RNA.
- Demonstrate willingness to learn and handle rodents.
- Demonstrate ability to solve scientific problems creatively, effectively and independently.
- Inventory maintenance for routine laboratory consumables, ordering and over all lab maintenance.
- Applicants should possess at least a degree in molecular / cellular biology or related fields.
- 1-3 years' experience preferred.
