Job Description


  • Assist the General Manager in the overall running of the Japanese Fine Dining restaurant
  • Work with the kitchen team in maintaining and improving food standards and quality
  • Train, counsel, guide and instruct junior personnel in the proper performance of their duties
  • Cultivate a conducive and good working environment for the junior staff
  • Familiar with all the job duties, responsibilities and roles of all junior service staff
  • Skilled in handling customer complaints
  • Good knowledge of Japanese guest service standards
  • Ability to speak Japanese is advantageous
  • Good knowledge of food ingredients used
  • General knowledge of food handling, food preparation and cooking procedures
  • Good knowledge of food hygiene regulations and company quality standards
  • Passion to serve
  • Able to work at a fast pace under pressure
  • Creative in dealing with situations
  • Positive attitude and responsible
  • Good attention to detail
  • Good organisational and supervisory skills
  • Able to work in a team
