Job Description

Job Purpose

The Senior Manager / Manager Engineering Data Analyst in the Engineering Data Analytics Center (EDAC) shall be responsible for leading a team of data analysts to perform engineering data analytics to develop predictive algorithms and convert fixed interval preventive maintenance to condition-based maintenance regime. This involves extracting, processing, and drawing insights from data.

Responsibilities

• Work in any SMRT Maintenance Depots or facilities and comply with all Safety Requirements.
• Perform engineering analytics of condition monitoring data and trending of defect data to seek engineering insights and identify areas for reliability and safety improvements.
• Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques to identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex engineering data sets.
• Develop predictive algorithms for railway systems using common data analytics tools including Python and R.
• Model solutions for condition-based maintenance based on live sensor data.
• Work with maintenance team to perform data validation and establish performance of predictive algorithms and condition-based maintenance models.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications & Work Experience

Degree in computer science, data science, mathematics and equivalent

Proven working experience as a Data Analyst

Previous Railway System experience would be advantageous.

Skills

Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques

Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets

Competent in Python and Power Bi
