Job Description

What the role is:The main scope is to assist Senior/Assistant Director, Admin to plan, prepare and provide all logistics support to the Bureau. Leads and provides direction for CNB Logistics team to ensure compliance to Government\'s principles and policies, and the smooth delivery of services to support the Bureau\'s operations.What you will be working on:Area of work (major activities) include: \xe2\x80\xa2 Plans for the logistical needs of the Bureau (both HQ and line units) by reviewing existing situations and engaging users /gathering feedback on requirement. \xe2\x80\xa2 Plans for usage of office space and vehicles to optimize operational efficiency. \xe2\x80\xa2 Leads and supervises a team of logistics officers in the various logistical functions, namely fleet management, estate management, management of office and communication equipment, catering as well as inventory control management. \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversees all logistics-related projects (for e.g. estate and vehicle management projects such as renovations and procurement of vehicles) including drafting of project papers, scope of requirements, evaluation reports and monitoring the progress of the projects. \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitors the inventory management processes and CNB Logistics Store to ensure that issuance is done promptly and records are updated accurately. \xe2\x80\xa2 Works closely with MHQ to participate in MHA-wide resource optimisation projects such Transport Hub, Retail Megamart, Vehicle Electrification, Green Singapore, etc. and ensures CNB\'s needs are adequately incorporated. \xe2\x80\xa2 Identifies potential areas for and supports demand aggregated procurement. \xe2\x80\xa2 Checks that the logistical processes are in line with Government IM and MHA Procurement Manual hence sound knowledge of these rules is required. \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversees current audit frameworks such as audit checks on cash cards, inventory etc. to ensure that checks are properly carried out and implement new ones to better governance. \xe2\x80\xa2 Manages supplier relationships for greater partnerships, quality, cost-effective logistical support and timely delivery through corresponding with vendors on feedback and expectations. \xe2\x80\xa2 Guides the logistics officers in conflict resolution and management of issues with users \xe2\x80\xa2 Works closely with HTX Central Procurement Office and B&I on procurement and estate related activities and issues. \xe2\x80\xa2 Contract management of projects/goods/services under Logistics\' purview.What we are looking for:We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified for the interview.About MHA- Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB):Central Narcotics Bureau keeps Singapore safe from drug abuse through: enforcement action against drug traffickers and abusers, leading and co-ordinating preventive drug education, assisting and forging a national consensus of zero tolerance towards drug abuse and identifying and recommending new legislative and other measures.
