Ensure the service readiness of the department and maintain a clean and safe environment in the clinic at all times
Assist with case triaging, registration and appointment scheduling and issue welfare financial aid to patients
Be responsible and accountable for the safekeeping of department\'s cash float and counter collections that are issued for financially needy patients
Reconcile all transactions at the end of the day and prepare claims report from the associated social service offices or relevant organizations
Perform patient care services such as attending to patient\'s needs in the department and/or helping them to move between departments
Attend to patient\'s enquiries and provide relevant information to them
Maintain confidentiality of patient\'s information
Attend to patient\'s feedback or complaints and escalate appropriately to the Medical Social Workers
Ensure that the Allied Health standards of service delivery be met at all times
Non-counter duties
Support the Medical Social Workers/ Social Work Assistants with translation for their cases if needed either in the consultation room or via tele-contact
Ensure that the mobility equipment that are on loan to the patients are well maintained at all times and to liaise with the vendors when needed
Ensure that the department\'s brochures are timely replenished by liaising with the relevant departments or external agencies
General duties
Assist the Medical Social Workers / Chief of department in supervision, guidance and teaching of new staff
Participate in initiating and implementing change to improve the quality of care and work processes in the unit
Perform other duties assigned by the Medical Social Workers / Chief of department
Requirement
Minimum GCE O/N Level equivalent qualifications
Patient-oriented and will go the extra mile to enhance patient experience
Driven, willing to learn and embrace change
Team players, able to foster strong relationships at all levels and across various departments and institutions
Experience in frontline customer service preferred
