The IR2 Project The Marina Bay Sands Integrated Resort 2 (MBS IR2) is the new expansion development on a site adjacent to the existing MBS Integrated Resort, referred to as IR1. The development includes a 585 keys luxury hotel tower (subject to adjustment during design development), a state-of-art 15,000-seat indoor arena, 10,000 square meters of additional MICE (Meeting, Incentive, Convention and Exhibition) space, and a unique rooftop attraction atop the hotel tower referred to as the Sky-loop.
Summary of Job Responsibilities Reporting to the Executive Director of Construction Development and Project Management, the Senior Project Manager is responsible for all aspects from design, procurement and onsite processes related to construction of the Podium and Hotel from Substructure through to final Handover within the IR2 Project Management team or as required by the department head. The set role will include involvement at an early stage in the development of the project with much of the role concentrating on the delivery aspect of the defined works. The successful candidate must have construction industry experience on major greenfield construction and fit-out projects.
Job responsibilities

  • Involvement in the Design process and input on project matters as it relates to the Design process, and initiate value engineering initiatives to ensure that the project develops within the recognized cost and time constraints.
  • Involvement in the preparation of tender documents and selection of the Contractors and provide assistance in the negotiation of their terms and conditions of engagement (supporting the Procurement team).
  • Lead the Construction teams with construction and design management, coordination, and delivery to meet the project schedule.
  • Coordinate with all other departments as required (Architectural, Interior Design, Commercial, Procurement, Finance and Planning).
  • Communicate effectively with Operations Teams to identify needs and evaluate alternative Project solutions.
  • Monitor and control the progress and development of all related project deliverables through the various stages of the project in accordance with the MBS\xe2\x80\x99s policy.
  • Lead & provide expertise, guidance, advice, support and motivate project teams.
  • Report to senior management via meetings or by regular written reports the progress of related project matters together with the status of related issues.
  • Manage and prepare all reporting activities required for the Project Stakeholders.
  • Oversee and ensure that Change Management as it relates to budget, revised design and potential schedule impact is carried out in line with MBS procedures.
  • Coordinate and integrate the activities of the Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Construction Managers and other support staff on the project.
  • Regularly inspect the progress of the work on site and provide guidance to the project and construction management teams on best practices and potential efficiencies on scheduling and processes.
  • Oversee and support the Construction Management Team to ensure the adequate and timely flow of information, designs, technical data and feedback, to meet the stringent construction schedule requirements on the project.
  • Monitor and input in off-site fabrication process and inspections process.
  • Plan, Implement and track Quality Checks for assigned projects.
  • Actively identify, manage and report projects risks and engage with Commercial team regularly to capture.
  • Actively plan and manage the handover process to full project close out.
  • Chair and input into regular project management meetings/briefings.
  • Preparation of relevant internal/external reports as required.
  • Be the ambassador for Quality, Safety and Environment culture and targets closely coordinating with the relevant team leads.

Job Requirements
  • Tertiary Degree in a Construction/Building/Project Management/Engineering related field.
  • 10+ years previous work experience with at least 5 years as a Senior Project Manager, in integrated resorts.
  • Knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, industry standards and other project-related activities, their interfaces and interdependencies.
  • Strong communication skills, as well as the ability to visualize issues and communicate them to others.
  • Outstanding organization, coordination and leadership skills \xe2\x80\x93 ability to coordinate groups of Consultants / Contractors.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
  • Work indoors and outdoors be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust.
