What the role is:The role of Senior/Assistant Director, Programmes Management within the HIV-Hepatitis-Sexually Transmitted Infections (HHS) Division is pivotal in overseeing the strategic implementation of policies and strategies. The primary responsibilities include leading a team of executives and senior executives to develop and execute programmes aimed at controlling HIV and STIs and eliminating viral hepatitis C in Singapore. The role requires fostering strong relationships with healthcare providers, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), and community groups to support programme implementation and build robust partnerships to further public health objectives. Additionally, the role involves providing oversight and supervision in the conceptualization, development, and implementation of HHS programmes, ensuring effective rollout and monitoring of health interventions. The Senior/Assistant Director is also responsible for managing budgets and financial reporting, mentoring junior staff, and overseeing their professional development. The position demands strong leadership and organisational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines, ensuring the delivery of key performance indicators (KPIs) and other deliverables for HHS programmes. Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA) is a new government agency that is being established by the Ministry of Health (MOH) to oversee Singapore\'s communicable disease preparedness, prevention and control, surveillance, risk assessment and outbreak response. It will consolidate and build on the public health functions under MOH, the National Centre for Infectious Diseases, and the Health Promotion Board.
