ALG is currently recruiting a Shipping Assistant for our world-leading Aerospace client. This is a full-time contract (convertible to permanent) position based in Singapore. Experienced candidates will be considered for a senior role.
Job Responsibilties:
- Liaise with freight forwarders for all incoming and out-going shipments and shipping functions, including AMAS :
- Preparation of boxes for outgoing shipments.
- Booking of flights
- Packing and unpacking
- All shipping documentations, including receivers, shipping documents
- Building of transportation boxes
- In-charge of the forklift.
- Gas cylinders to be ordered when stock level reaches one.
- Take care of customers\' wooden boxes: Customers\' wooden boxes must be properly stacked and covered at all times to prevent deterioration.
- Consumables required for shipping area must be properly controlled and replenishment must be done well in advance, in order to avoid a \'Nil\' stock situation.
- Good house-keeping.
- To participate actively in contributing to HSE development and improvement.
- Any other tasks as assigned.
