This will require working in strong partnership with the broader finance organization as well as the Asia leadership team. Will report to 3M\xe2\x80\x99s Vice President \xe2\x80\x93 Finance and Assistant Corporate ControllerKey to the success of this role will be the management and development of our finance controller resources.Key Job Responsibilities:Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Responsibility for producing accurate and timely financial statements (income statement and balances sheet) in accordance with U.S. GAAP and local country laws in partnership with our shared service organization
• Ownership of the country statutory financial statement preparation activities across Asia
• Oversight of country treasury and tax operations if the country does not have global tax and/or treasury support in place
• Managing the clear, timely and accurate communication of material items impacting financial results
• Responsibility for timely and accurate account reconciliations processes for the entities across the Area, in partnership with the shared service organization
• Internal liaison with other finance disciplines including Internal Audit, Tax, Treasury and business finance teams
• Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary skills and tools to perform their roles effectively.
• Promote a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.
• Attract, develop, and retain talent
• 3M contact point for various external financial and regulatory bodies
• Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws, accounting standards, and corporate policies.
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Represent Finance on the Area Leadership Team where necessary
• Senior finance voice for general guidance
• Project leadership for key Global/Area projects
• Communication with Area team on a regular basis: key metrics, progress on priorities, project updates, compliance developments etc.
• Responsibility for Key Metrics/Compliance including but not limited to country statutory financial statements; financial reporting controls; on-time compliant & accurate area financial statement; open audit comments and delivering on the operating plan headcount and cost targets
• Applicable local sustainability reporting requirements such as Japan, India and others as appropriate
• Support of corporate-wide initiatives related to tax plannings; cash repatriation; merger, acquisition & divestiture activities and other matters required to operate US-based multi-national company

Your skills and expertise:Candidates should have the following qualifications and experience:

• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Finance, including at a senior leadership position
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience leading or participating on project teams
• Experience navigating transformation, change and complexity in US-based multi-national company
• SAP knowledge and team management experience
• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance and/or Economics from an accredited university
