Be the main point of contact for Front Office and other internal departments for all loan matters and address their Ops related queries
Liaise with the agents, borrowers, lenders and investors depending on the role of the bank in the Loan transactions
Book/Check and approve all loan and loan lifecycle events in the systems
Book/Check and review all incoming instructions
Ensure that payments are received or sent in a timely manner
Mentor junior team members in their day to day work
Execute settlement and clearing
Support transaction settlement documentation gathering and settlement processes
Input cash settlements in banking platforms and/or systems whilst ensuring adherence to cut-off times
Post Trade management - Follow through on the Deal life cycle of a trade, ensure trades settled on time and follow up on un-settled trades. Follow protocols and procedures in logging failed trades, and follow up on fail trade claim in accordance to market standard.
Collate interest settlement and principal repayment
Escalate unconfirmed transactions and discrepancies
Clear reconciliation breaks (Nostro, Positions, NPV/ trade breaks across systems)
Perform daily, monthly, weekly, quarterly and ad hoc reports
Contribute to maintain the department\xe2\x80\x99s efficiency
Propose continuous improvement project for process (eg automation of processes)
Participate in ad hoc projects as required
Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements
Participate in systems testing
Identify potential risk gaps and address them
Update procedures and reference notes when required
Work on process improvements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 10 years\' of Loans Settlements/ Operations experience
People management experience
