The SEATW region within Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking an Internal Communications Specialist in Singapore. Working within our region, the Communications Specialist will help connect our employees to the company’s Mission, business and each other.

How will you make an impact?

We’re looking for an individual with a passion to grow in the communications field and who has exhibited early career success with a variety of communications tactics, including writing, curating and managing online/offline communication channels, social media and communications project management. The Communications Specialist will be responsible for the development and execution of various electronic, video, audio and print forms of communication, including content development, writing and editing, in support of the company’s goals.

What will you do?

• Create, implement, and measure success of communications that drive engagement among employees, connecting employees to the company Mission, the business and each other.
• Serve as a key contributing communications member on a variety of programs and initiatives.
• Build and maintain a robust editorial calendar and serve as the representative for SEATW in partnering with the broader Communication function to share stories and execute on companywide initiatives.
• Build connections across the business in order to build a pipeline of impactful stories and drive content creation for sharing across the intranet, Yammer and beyond.
• Manage internal communications channels and platforms (email, SharePoint sites, enterprise social media channels, video streaming, etc.).
• Support specific public relations efforts in collaboration with the other members of the SEATW team.
• Develop slides and talking points for town halls, sales meetings and other significant internal events and activities.

How will you get here?

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree.

Experience:

• Early career communications experience, preferably in a publicly traded company.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Outstanding written, oral, inter-personal and presentation skills and the ability to effectively collaborate with senior management and other partners from across the business.
• Proficient in Office 365.
• Familiarity with social media trends and measurement platforms.
• Strong eye for business and an ability to clearly communicate complicated scientific concepts in simple terms.
• Highly organized and enjoys managing processes, projects and programs.
• Excellent analytical skills - supported by a strong attention to detail.
• Passion for communications and eagerness to grow in the field.
