About the Team

This role reports directly to the Head of Sales Marine, ASEAN, TW, KR, JP. Will be responsible to support the Marine Sales Team with technical and application based solutions for all pre- sales initiatives.

What you can look forward to as Sales and Product Application Engineer :

• Selection and sizing of marine power transmissions
• Developing an excellent working relationship with both the customer and internal stakeholders (factory and the larger ZF marine community)
• Making quotations and ensuring that the project files and costing sheets are updated in a timely and organised manner.
• Supporting the marine sales colleagues by jointly attending customer based meetings from time to time for technical clarifications
• Assist and support the contract/project manager and order processing team in proper and timely handovers during kick off meetings
• Clarifying the requirements for tender documents as and when required.
• To pro-actively perform sales- focus activities in the designated territories in the region or assigned customer accounts, targeting market development, maintenance, and growth of ZF marine Portfolio with the aim of maximizing sales and profitability for the business.
• Interaction not limited to designers, owners, shipyard representatives, OEMs and engineering integrators to represent and promote ZF portfolio products in the market
• Conduct market research and stay relevant to market demands as well as competitor developments through contributions from key customer/ country development plans, monthly sales reports and contributions for sales planning and budgeting from time to time.
• Assisting to specify ZF Marine Portfolio Products into tenders with designers and lead presentations to end users or designers where necessary.
• Requirement to assimilate a \xe2\x80\x9chunter\xe2\x80\x9d role for governmental tender projects while the need to have good project management and organizational skills to manage Key Accounts assigned from time to time.
• Support customers with sales quotations and pre sales technical support/ application support on a timely basis with the support of the team.
• Assist and support the contract/project manager and order processing team in proper and timely handovers during kick off meetings
• Perform post - sales follow up customer reviews and continue to support stakeholders to ensure expectations are met.
• Work within a regional matrix organization to support the overall growth of the marine business

Your profile as Sales and Product Application Engineer:

• Associate degree of engineering or above
• Working experience at vehicle manufacturers, or in automotive or transmission or engine companies.
• Excellent skills in verbal and written English
• Familiar with office software
• Professional experience in application field of Automotive or off-highway equipment.
• Capacity to coordinate and organize.
• Excellent team capability and ability to communicate
• Willing to travel
