A High-tech Manufacturing Firm with worldwide operations offering operational precision silicone rubber and plastics component parts to most consumer electronic brands is looking for a dynamic and driven Strategic Procurement Manager.
Your new role
You will be responsible for:
- Leading the Procurement Department in procuring required rubber, plastic and metal for the company’s manufacturing and operations.
- Leading a team and having knowledge on sourcing and qualifying new potential suppliers from local and overseas market.
- Providing strategic planning direction, guidance and supervision to direct reports related to the timely, cost effective procurement, delivery, inventory control
- Planning of factory direct & indirect requirement support.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate is someone who has:
- Diploma/Degree with more than 5 years working experience in rubber, plastic and metal industry
- Has working experience in quick pace manufacturing environment
- Excellent negotiation skills and has good market and commercial awareness
- Possess good vendor networking and sourcing experience
- Leadership experience
- Bilingual in Chinese and English, due to stakeholders based in China
- Willing to travel to Malaysia & China when required
